
July 23: Communicate Good – A Day of Service & Celebration for Columbus Creatives
Looking for a meaningful way to give back this summer? AAF Columbus, AMA Columbus, and PRSA Central Ohio are joining forces to host a one-of-a-kind community service event designed to give marketers, designers, PR pros, and other creatives the opportunity to use their talents to support Central Ohio nonprofits.
Volunteers will be placed at nonprofit sites across Columbus for hands-on service from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Projects vary by site but are designed to offer participants a meaningful way to contribute their time and talents to support each organization’s mission.

This event is open to anyone who wants to give back! You don’t need to be a member of any host organization—or even a marketing pro—to participate.

Event FAQs
- Who Can Participate? This event is open to all communications, marketing, and creative professionals in Central Ohio—whether or not you’re a member of AMA, AAF, or PRSA. Everyone is welcome!
- What is the Registration Deadline? To ensure you will receive a volunteer assignment, please reserve your spot by Friday, July 18, at 11:59 p.m. to ensure
- How Are Volunteers Assigned to Nonprofits? Volunteers will be placed based on each organization’s needs and available capacity. Projects will vary, but all are designed to advance the mission of the host site.
- Will I Know My Assignment in Advance? Participants will be notified of their assignment location by email on Monday, July 21.
- How Much Does it Cost to Participate? Event Fees are $15 for AMA Columbus, AAF, and PRSA Members; $20 for nonmembers
- What if I Can’t Participate During Working Hours? Interested participants who are not able to commit to a volunteer slot during normal business hours may attend the networking celebration, but you must pre-register. Please note: the standard event fee still applies.
- Is transportation provided? Volunteers are responsible for getting to and from their assigned nonprofit site and the evening gathering at Land-Grant Brewing Company.
- Can I Count This Toward Volunteer Service Hours at Work? Absolutely. Many employers offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO) or support community service. We’re happy to provide documentation of your participation upon request.
- I Represent a Local Nonprofit. How Can We Get Involved? We’d love to partner with you if space is available. Please email president@amacolumbus.org to learn how your organization can host volunteers for this event.
